Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026. Open Ear, operated from the United Kingdom, is the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
- Booking details: your name, email address, and chosen time, collected through our booking tool.
- Payment details: we record the date, amount and method of each payment. Payments are made in Bitcoin over the Lightning network, so we never see or store card numbers.
What we don't collect
We do not record calls, take notes of what you say, or keep a transcript. Please turn off any recording or AI summary features on your side too.
Why we use it
To book your call, send you the link and reminders, take payment, handle refunds, and meet our legal and tax obligations.
Who else sees it
Our service providers: the booking and video tool (Cal.com), our Lightning wallet provider (Alby), and email forwarding (Cloudflare). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for up to 6 years to meet UK tax rules, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Contact support@openearcalls.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Transfers abroad
Some providers are based outside the UK. They use safeguards required by UK data protection law.
